The academic major of Materials Design Innovation Engineering comprises the three research groups of Computational Materials Design, Advanced Measurement and Analysis Technology, and Nano Structure Design, and devotes effort to inquiry, design, analysis, and the like, centering on nano- and meso-scale research.
Expansion of advanced measurement and analysis capabilities is aimed for using an ultra-high-voltage electron microscope, a synchrotron accelerator, and other large-scale research equipment and facilities.
